Hopefully we’re together when it comes to hearing the loud sounds echoing from the mine fields in Cameroon.

After oil in the 80’s and 90’s today there is iron ore, gold and diamond, charmingcompetitors from among the world’s voracious mining companies.

Of course, the mining industry in Cameroon is still teething, with activity at this stage of infancy being predominantly artisanal. Mining activities are therefore mainly at a cottage level affair.

For now whatever country is leading the mining race is different debate.But the fact is that the vast, virgin mine fields in Cameroon remainjuicy, and so the country is being courted by many suitors.

And now, what has Agenla Academy at Universities in Cameroon got to do with all of this?

Well, it doesn’t need a genius to provide the answer.

Cameroon needs a great pool of mining technicians and engineers to feed this hungry industry so that its economy can grow. That’s why Agenla Academy at Universities in Cameroon is on stand-by with alacrity to provide the skills needed and which are, euh……

You want to say scarce?

That’s right……..as dogs’ tears actually!

Evidently, very few careers will be of interest to our economy at this point in time like the mining career is. Consequence we have specialised in preparing the terrain for the mining jamboree ahead.

The idea is to man this sector with highly skilled, competent professional technicians and engineers.

And so we, (with you in mind of course), designed a special mining engineering professional degree programme. This means that as you join us we will together support not only the economybut your personal development as well.

To beef up our strategy Agenla Academy is running a partnership programme with Canada’s University of Cegep de Sept-iles, an institution that specialises in the training of Mining, Industrial Machines and Science and Technology students for job insertion.

Take a peep at the course details:

Our University’s mineral technology programme is pragmatic. It leads you to the theDiplômed’étudesCollégiales – DEC. Well, a bit of explanation later since you are English speaking…..

This qualification actually prepares you to work in the domain of mineral resource management – research, exploitation, transformation – and their preservation and restoration.

After your studies at Agelna academy, andyour qualificationas Mineral Technician you can either pick up a job or continue with us for a full professional degree in Mining Engineering.

So you can understand why we are always pushing to locate where you will be able to land a great job. Take a look at the following openings.

  1. You will get a fulfilling placementworkingon the development, the improvement and the optimization of the processes of concentration and extraction of mineral resources as well as control mining wastes
  2. You can also carry out tests– concentration gravimetric or magnetic, pelletizing, flotation, hydrometallurgy etc. –as applied researcher,
  3. Again you can participate in the conception of mineralogy processes and workon the characterization of chemical, physical or mechanical samples
  4. Finally, it’s open for you to monitor the efficiency of the mineralogyprocesses, contribute in setting it up and ensuring environmental protectionagainst mining residues, and much more…

Regarding Communications your fine skills acquired at Agenla Academy would equally be needed to;

  1. research, treat and transmit information for purposes of management within the framework of mining projects;
  2. effectively communicate technical information in French and in English under different working contexts(oral presentation, drafting a report, providing technical support in the execution of work on the characterizationof chemical, physical or mechanical samples), and
  3. working internally within a team and relate other participants as well,

So, hoping to catch you on the application formsfor participation in our engineering courses.
